*Please note, the Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Nursing Science – Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Physiotherapy, and Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours) are excluded from the Early Offer Program.

If you’re in Year 12 and graduating this year, you may be eligible to receive an early offer for your preferred course of study at JCU in 2026. To participate in JCU’s Early Offer Program, list JCU as your first preference when QTAC applications open on 5 August and then work with your school on a recommendation.

  • Let your school Guidance Officer or Careers Advisor know that you would like to be considered for an Early Offer at JCU.
  • Submit your QTAC application via the QTAC website - applications open 5 August. To be considered for an Early Offer, ensure the JCU course you’re applying for is listed as your first preference. Please note, we can’t start processing your Early Offer application until you’ve submitted your QTAC application.
  • Submit an Early Offer nomination form^ to your school. Your school may help you with this process.
  • Your school will then send JCU your nomination form and a recommendation based on your academic performance, motivation, talents, passion and capabilities to demonstrate your likelihood of success at university.
  • We will be in contact with you 48 hours after we receive the recommendation from your school.
  • Applications to the Early Offer Program close on 10 October 2025.

Receiving an early offer allows you to head into your exams with greater confidence, knowing your place at university is already secured.** After exams, you can fully enjoy your summer holidays, free from the stress of uni applications and paperwork.

Early Offer students also benefit from early access to JCU's support services, ensuring a seamless transition to university life.

Most of JCU’s courses across study areas like Arts, Business, Law, Engineering, Science, Information Technology, Pharmacy, and Sport and Exercise Science are included in the Early Offer Program. A full list of courses can be found here.

Courses excluded from the program include: Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Nursing Science - Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Physiotherapy and Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours).

Note, if you are applying to study a course which is excluded from the Early Offer Program you can still receive an early offer for another JCU course. For more details please click here or chat with a JCU Advisor.

Any domestic student graduating from Year 12 or the International Baccalaureate qualification in Australia this year can apply.

International students completing Year 12 in Australia can apply directly to JCU at any time to be considered for a conditional offer.
