About Nursing Science

Learn how to assess clients and effectively communicate with patients and fellow health professionals in this professionally accredited degree. About Nursing Science and Midwifery

Build the knowledge and skills required for a career as a nurse or midwife through extensive supervised professional practises. You’ll be supported throughout your degree by academics who are experienced nurses and midwives.

This four-year (full-time) course includes extensive professional or clinical placements. Apply theoretical nursing and midwifery knowledge in practical contexts, preparing you for a smooth transition into the workplace.

Gain experience with our partner hospitals and health services across regional, rural and remote Queensland, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and international locations. Graduate with the skills and confidence to work in regional, rural, remote and tropical communities.

The nursing and midwifery double degree opens many career paths. As a graduate, you could work in hospitals or a variety of healthcare settings. You will also be eligible for professional registration in Australia as a General Nurse and a Midwife.
