At James Cook University (JCU), we believe education should be accessible by everyone and recognise the financial burden some families face when applying for a university course through Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC). If you’ve been part of JCU’s Outreach programs through high school in North and Far North Queensland, we invite you to apply for a QTAC voucher to cover the cost of your QTAC application fee.
We strongly encourage First Nations applicants and those from remote or rural areas to apply for a voucher.
Vouchers are subject to availability and will be issued based on your postcode.

Eligibility for applying
• Must be a current 2025 Year 12 student intending to study in 2026
• Vouchers are valid to make an application through QTAC only
• Vouchers are valid from 5 August 2025 – 30 June 2026
• Vouchers will cover the full QTAC Application fee cost from 5 August – 30 September 2025
• Additional QTAC Application fee costs are incurred from 1 October 2025
